Senior Assassin rules

Water guns only. Floaties are armor. Purge Day spares no one. These are the standard rules played by senior classes across the country — edit the blanks, then send the whole thing to the group chat so every player agrees to the same game.

1Who plays, and how to join

The game is open to seniors of your school, and it's completely free — no entry fee, no pot, no money anywhere. Sign up with the organizer, organizer name, before start date. The roster locks when the game begins. The last player standing wins the trophy, the yearbook photo, and a full year of bragging rights.

2Weapons: water only

Eliminations count only with a brightly colored water gun. No clear or black blasters, nothing that could be mistaken for a real weapon at a distance — if a stranger could misread it, it's banned. Water balloons and buckets count only if the organizer enables them before the game starts: balloons and buckets are OFF.

3How eliminations work

You are assigned exactly one target. Soak your target — a visible hit with water — and record it or have a witness confirm it. Send proof to the organizer within 12 hours. When your target is out, you inherit their target, and the circle tightens until two players remain.

4Immunity items

A player visibly wearing the immunity item — pool floaties around the waist — cannot be eliminated. The item must be actually worn, not carried, not held. Immunity items are void on Purge Day.

5Safe zones

No eliminations: on school grounds or at any school event; inside anyone's workplace; at practices, games, rehearsals, and performances; at places of worship; at family events; and inside a player's home unless a resident lets you in. Everywhere else is fair game.

6The safety code

These are the rules that keep the game running, and they beat every other rule: never shoot at or from a moving vehicle, or at anyone who is driving; no trespassing; no entering a home uninvited; nothing illegal, ever. If a parent, school official, or police officer tells you to stop — stop, walk away, and take the loss. A player who breaks this rule is out of the game, immediately and permanently.

7Purge Day

The organizer may announce a Purge Day with at least 24 hours notice. On Purge Day, immunity items don't work and anyone may eliminate their target anywhere outside the safe zones. Expect ambushes.

8Deadlines keep the game moving

Eliminate your target within 14 days or you're eliminated for inactivity and your target passes up the chain. The organizer posts the SOAKED list — who's out, who's still dry — after every round.

9Disputes

Video decides. If there's no video and no neutral witness, the elimination doesn't count. The organizer's ruling is final on everything — arguing with the ref is how a free game stays fun.

10Going out gracefully

Getting soaked is part of the game. Eliminated players stay in the group chat as witnesses, spectators, and Purge Day commentators. Don't be the one who argues; be the one with the good elimination video.
